The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
Employer: AlexAnimation
Job Title: Founder, Designer, and Animator
"I’m dedicated to becoming a better animator—no matter how far along in my career."
—Alejandro Brubaker

2005 Graduate, Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh

Alejandro Brubaker designs and animates motion graphics for clients of his company, AlexAnimation. He takes great pride in learning new techniques and mastering software. “I’m dedicated to becoming a better animator—no matter how far along in my career.”

He adds that he’s fortunate to work in animation. “If I was not being paid to do what I do, I would be doing it as a hobby. It is very gratifying that I get to earn a living doing what I always wanted to do.” Alejandro finds creative inspiration in title design created for film—especially those of Kyle Cooper and Prologue.

Alejandro, who in 2005 earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, adds that future design professionals need to be able to multitask—not just animate. These are skills he honed during his animation studies. “(The Art Institute of Pittsburgh) prepared me for real-life workloads and deadlines. Additionally, it taught me now to successfully work with a team, which is critical to success.”
